About the Artist:
I have dabbled in different forms of art all my life, but when I was forced to retire in 2009 due to Parkinson's, I pursued a career in art. I took a few oil painting lessons in 2010 and after painting every day for five years, I developed a technique which allowed me to produce a level of art I considered marketable. Minor accomplishments in selling a few pieces, I decided to give back and signed up with the Michael J Fox Foundation to donate 15% of each painting to further research in finding a cure for Parkinson's.
My professional profile is limited to a few oil painting classes, but my contribution to the art community is art created by an artist with Parkinson's. I discovered that while painting my symptoms are reduced, which motivated me to paint on a daily basis. I am trying to find markets for my art so I can help support the Michael J Fox Foundation in their efforts to find a cure.
